As specialists in financial services, we’ve got some of the brainiest boffins in the industry, including ex-bankers and ex-regulators who provide invaluable insight on the sector. We have an unbelievable amount of passion for the industry we operate within as we strive to offer our clients the latest insight or trend to watch out for.

Lara Joseph

Lara is a Senior Account Manager and specializes in media relations and financial regulation. She joins Cognito from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) where she led lead PR on wholesale markets after six years as a capital markets policy specialist working on EU and global policy on benchmarks and credit rating agencies. She has also been seconded to the Treasury Select Committee where she advised on UK financial regulation. She studied Economics and Chinese at Nottingham University, and holds an Islamic Finance qualification from the CISI.

Andrew Marshall

Andrew has led Cognito’s EMEA business for the last four years and advises a variety of clients across banking, capital markets, asset management and professional services. After ten years in investment banking at Schroders and Deutsche Bank, Andrew has spent the last two decades in financial communications at Fishburn Hedges and Hill & Knowlton. A fluent German speaker and local councillor for over 10 years, his experience and knowledge within financial services knows no bounds!

Oliver Van Nairn

Oliver came through the 2015 London graduate programme and is now leading the charge for our 2016 graduate recruitment! Having spent time at Goldman Sachs, he’s got a keen interest in the financial sector and now works across a wide range of clients in our marketing team. Previously, Oliver worked at Wasserman Media Group, a global sports agency, and went to university in the USA on a golf scholarship.

Charlie Morrow

Charlie joined Cognito in 2009 and is now an Associate Director, helping clients create strong media profiles and high-impact communications programmes. Charlie works with a range of clients within the financial space, from large exchanges to promising startups, and his knowledge of the industry spreads far and wide. He also plays the trumpet (badly!)
